Brena is called up to the women’s football team
Midfielder Brena, known as Sereia da Vila, was called up by coach Arthur Elias to play friendlies against Canada. She will join players Camila Rodrigues and Cristiane, also previously called up. Brena's call-up occurred due to Real Madrid defender Kathellen's inability to appear at Data Fifa due to discomfort in her hip.
Selection is already complete in Montreal
Players Gabi Nunes and Antônia, both from Real Madrid, were the first to present themselves for the national team in Montreal. Throughout the day, other players, such as Marta and Adriana, also joined the group. The squad is complete and ready for friendlies.
The first press conference was attended by Adriana, Orlando Pride striker, and Angelina, OL Reign midfielder. The players are confident in the new cycle of the selection under the command of Elias, who led the Corinthians women's team to win their fourth title in the Copa Libertadores.
Adriana praised Elias' work and believes that the team will continue with the same intense and victorious attitude as Corinthians. Angelina revealed her expectations for the first friendly against Canada and highlighted that the players are understanding well the playing style proposed by the coach.
