Publicity

The largest city in the country considers itself prepared to host the event due to the structure and experience acquired when it was one of the venues for the football World Cup in 2014. In the statement, in fact, the city lists itself as one of the possible venues for the Women's Cup, in 2027, if Brazil is chosen as the country that will host the competition.

The Pan American Games, which are now in their 19th edition, have already hosted Brazil twice. The first was precisely in São Paulo, in 1963 and the second in Rio de Janeiro, in 2007.

For now, there is still no news of other candidates to host the 2031 edition. Between the current edition and the one in which São Paulo is claiming the right to host, the 2027 Pan American Games will take place in Barranquilla (Colombia).
