Betting on a reactive game, in which they used counter-attacks as their main weapon, Internacional scored first. In the 31st minute, Belén Aquino launched Priscila deep. The No 19 set off at speed and hit the ball past goalkeeper Lelê. However, in the 33rd minute Vic Albuquerque scored with a great header to make it all square and force a penalty shoot-out.

In the penalty shoot-out, the Brabas of Timão were more efficient than the Gurias Coloradas to close out the match 4-3 and secure their place in the final.
